GURBAZ: A soldier, Niaz Ali, embraced martyrdom and another injured in a cross-border attack on a fencing party along the Pak-Afghan border in North Waziristan on Sunday.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted that Sepoy Niaz Ali sacrificed his life while making Pak-Afghan border safe/inaccessible for terrorists.
The martyred soldier was 29-years-old, married, and hailed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mardan district.
Forces will complete fencing undeterred, the spokesperson said, adding that Afghanistan’s cooperation is required in mutual interest.

On Saturday, two soldiers were martyred and six militants were killed in South Waziristan. According to the military’s media wing, security forces had conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in village Spina Mela near Ladha, South Waziristan.
As a result, Havaldars Razzaq Khan and Mumtaz Hussain had embraced martyrdom in an operation. A high-value target, Nanakar, was among those killed and was responsible for attacks on the local population and tribal Maliks.
