ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was directed by the Senate Standing Committee on Interior to establish a complaints’ cell regarding investments in housing societies.
Senate Standing Committee on Interior Chairman Rehman Malik said, “Housing societies have been selling more plots than the land they possess.”
“Plots always exist in files but never get the practical shape,” he added.
The committee also directed the capital’s chief commissioner to provide details pertaining to housing societies in Islamabad.
