Revolution, how?

Pakistan needs a revolution. All of us talk about injustice and incidents like the killing of the boy in Boat Basin. We share videos and articles.

We talk about unlawful and inhumane drone attacks. We blame our government and law enforcement agencies for everything wrong in Pakistan. Most of us have given up hope about the future of Pakistan. Most of us do nothing thinking that how “I” alone can do anything to make things better.

I also used to think like that. Sometimes, I feel so helpless in changing the future of my country for my children. We are not allowed by our families to actively participate in anything because of our safety. We as nation have become cowards.

We are afraid of little hardships and sacrifices we will have to make to bring a drastic change. If someone in the community is holding a walk or protest against the injustice, we do not join as we think that how “I”, a single person, can make a difference.

I want to ask how we can bring a change, a revolution in our country. Isn’t this high time we wake up from our slumber and arrogance. We should stop acting like an ostrich.
