ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court expressed serious concerns over non-implementation of court orders regarding Peshawar church attack and directed the federal government to submit a report on the issue, reported a local English newspaper.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar took up the matter at Supreme Court’s Lahore Registry. Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Ijazul Ahsan were the other two members of the bench.

During the hearing, Justice Bandial observes the progress in the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) against hate speech.

“All the chief secretaries will be summoned if the orders were not implemented,” said the CJP. The court gave 15 days to the federal government to submit the report.
