Ex-minister Asghar Rind’s house blown up in Kech

GWADAR: The house of former provincial minister Mir Asghar Rind, also a central leader of the Balochistan National Party-Awami, was blown up in Mand, a town located in Kech district of Balochistan.

Civil and security officials said that some unidentified people had planted explosives around the house of the former minister and blew it up in the Gomazi area of Mand. They said that the house was completely destroyed in the blast.

They said that no casualty had been reported as no one was present in the house when the blast occurred. The official said that the blast also partially damaged the nearby house, where a brother of the minister is settled.

On the other hand, Mir Hamal Baloch of the BNP-Mengal escaped an armed attack while travelling between Sirkin and Mirabad in Turbat district when unidentified armed persons from nearby mountainous opened fire on his convoy.

The attackers fled away after a heavy exchange of fire with the security guards of BNP-Mengal leader Hamal Baloch. No casualty has been reported. Hamal Baloch will contest the July 25 elections from the PB-47-Turbat.
