Nawaz, Maryam likely to spend Eid with Kulsoom Nawaz in London

—Expected to return soon after Eid

After getting permission from the court to visit ailing Kulsoom Nawaz in London, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are likely to spend Eidul Fitr in London. According to some reports, the Sharifs are expected to fly to London within the next 24 hours.

However, according to media reports, Nawaz and Maryam will, however, return in time to attend the court hearings.

Earlier, the Supreme Court’s (SC) had also granted permission to Nawaz Sharif and his daughter to visit Begum Kulsoom Nawaz who is undergoing treatment for cancer in London.

“Tell me when would Nawaz Sharif return? For publicity you say we are not allowed to visit Kulsoom Nawaz,” the Chief Justice said.

The SC also granted the third extension to the accountability court to complete the trial.

In Panama Papers case, the SC had ordered the court to conclude the trial within six months.
