KHANEWAL: Faisal Khan Niazi, a former ticket-holder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in PP-209 constituency, joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) here Saturday after his party did not award him a ticket to contest the 2018 general elections.
While talking to the media, he lamented that despite his sacrifices for the party, he was ignored by the PTI leadership. He alleged that the PTI had distributed the party tickets among corrupt mafia for the 2018 elections.
He said he would contest elections from PP-209 on the PML-N ticket. The PML-N candidate for NA-153 is Chaudhry Iftikhar Nazeer.
Faisal Niazi had lost the 2013 election in his constituency by a narrow margin.
