ISLAMABAD: Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan have spent five years without forming or developing any rules regarding free and compulsory education making the legislation pointless, reported a local English newspaper.
In April 2010, the parliament passed 18th Amendment, which included Article 25-A, which obligates the state to provide free and compulsory to all children of the age of 5-16 years.
“The state shall provide free and compulsory education to all children of the age of 5 to 16 years in such a manner as may be determined by law,” it read.
