LAHORE: The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday adjourned hearing of an application for implementation of the verdict in National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) case for a week. The bench, headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, heard the matter at Supreme Court Lahore Registry.

During the hearing, the chief justice expressed dismay over National Accountability Bureau performance for not arresting the accused, Mohsin Warraich, involved in the NICL case.

The chief justice observed that he knew why the accused was not being arrested. The method used forthe arrest of Rao Anwaar should also have to be adopted for the arrest of Mohsin Warraich, he added.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials briefed the bench that technical resources were being used for the arrest of the accused.

At this, the bench adjourning the matter for a week sought reports of NICL references pending in Lahore and Karachi courts.
