Muhammad Amir took four wickets in second innings of Lord’s Test match against England but the wicket of Johnny Bairstow-whom he bowled with an inswinger-was the best one.

Talking about the plan behind that delivery, Amir said that he noticed Bairstow left the previous ball rather lazily and he seemed under pressure.

“Also, we had noticed that he struggled on inswing as his favourite area is extra-cover and he plays the ball outside the off-stump brilliantly,” Amir said, adding that he knew that ball was swinging so he decided to pitch it up with a hint of inswing.

“And that did the job as he went to play on front foot and a gap was created,” said the pacer.

Talking about his rhythm and form in Test matches, the left-hand fast bowler said that the coaching team administration has been working with the team very hard.

“Azhar bhai has especially worked with me and asked me to pitch the ball a bit up and as you have noticed, my length has changed now,” Amir said, adding that he is hoping with time it will get better.
