Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday could not attend a political gathering scheduled to be held in Malir area of Karachi.
It is said that the rally was cancelled since PTI could not get the security clearance from the local administration.
Earlier in the day, Imran Khan attended an Iftar gathering with the business community hostel by Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital, Karachi.
While addressing the gathering, Khan said that Federally Administered Tribal Areas’ (FATA) merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a huge step towards the progress of people of tribal areas.
He said that the area was governed by the Federal Crime Regulations (FCR) laws made by the colonial powers. The merger has been done with the elders of the tribes of the region, he said.
“The merger of KP with FATA was required for many decades. We have demanded it for many years and are happy we succeeded,” Khan said.
He said that the Inzamam (merger) of FATA with KP was necessary for the establishment of a peaceful Pakistan.
It is criminal to deprive people who are part of Pakistan, of their rights as Pakistanis, adding that it is now time to heal these wounds bleeding for decades, Khan maintained.
OFFICERS WORKING WITH SHEHBAZ TO BE PUT ON ECL:
Imran Khan demanded placement of names of all senior officers working with Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on the Exit Control List (ECL).
PTI chief said these officers should not be allowed to leave the country in order to expose mega corruption of Shehbaz Sharif and his sons.
We demand that all the senior officers working with SS in Punjab should be put on ECL and not be allowed to leave the country, because the mega corruption of SS and Sons’ Corruption Limited Company needs to be exposed.

He said that political interference in civil services has devastated the field, but they had to fix the institutions.
Khan said this was the first time his party had been contesting the elections with complete preparation and it would field credible candidates.http://
