Waqar Kiani, a Pakistani journalist who works for the British newspaper The Guardian, was thrashed by unknown men late on Saturday night, reported a private TV channel. The attackers intercepted Kiani at Sector G-8, Islamabad, and torture before fleeing the scene.
It is worth recalling that Waqar had recently disclosed that the officials of an intelligence agency had whisked him away and tortured in 2008. He was than working on a story about jihadists assigned by a London-based journalist of The Guardian.
