ISLAMABAD: While speaking to his Malaysian counterpart on Wednesday, Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi called for strengthening bilateral ties between both the countries.
The PM also extended his congratulations to Dr Mahathir Mohamad pertaining to Pakatan Harapan’s electoral victory.
While appreciating the smooth transfer of power in Malaysia, Abbasi said that the process was a manifestation of the Malaysian nation’s maturity.
PM Abbasi also exclaimed that the unprecedented political success of Pakatan Harapan proved that the people of Malaysia had complete trust in Mohamad’s leadership.
Pakistan’s PM also extended an invitation to the Malaysian leader to visit Pakistan.
Dr Mahathir thanked Abbasi and agreed to strengthen ties between Malaysia and Pakistan.
