HYDERABAD: Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) and Milli Muslim League (MML) chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed has said that India builds dams to block Pakistan’s waters, but the Pakistan government remains “silent and prefers its friendship”.
He was talking to reporters after his meeting with Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan-Noorani (JUP-N) chief Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair at the latter’s seminary here on Monday.
He accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government of negligence and letting India build dams. In reply to a question about Nawaz Sharif’s statement on Mumbai attack, he termed Nawaz Sharif the biggest non-state actor. He said the Supreme Court had disqualified him and now Nawaz Sharif was on the run.
About a question on the Kashmir issue, he said there were multiple factors which were delaying its solution and the government’s attitude was one of them.
He said the Pakistani rulers did not have any policy on Kashmir.
He said the matter had been handed over to various committees; there was a tendency among the rulers that when they were not interested in solving problems, they left everything to committees. He said the JuD wanted a Pakistan modelled on the pattern of Madina because “Naya Pakistan” had nothing.
