ISLAMABAD: The federal government has approved the establishment of 130 movie theatres across the big cities of the country.
The report said that the cinemas are being built in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Hyderabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad and Peshawar after the federal government has given relief to film producers and tax exemption.
As per national film policy, almost 40% duty relief will be given on the construction of cinemas across the country. The government’s steps for the modernisation, betterment and tax relief for the film industry is really proving a game changer for all.
These steps are creating honourable job opportunities for all the people related to the film industry, the Pakistan Cinema Owners Association said in a writing to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
