Former Pakistan ODI and T20 captain and hard-hitting batsman Shahid Afridi confirmed his participation in World XI Vs West Indies charity match.
The match will be played on May 31 at Lord’s cricket ground.
Confirming his participation, the-allrounder said: “I will be playing @ICC World XI vs @westindies as I feel strongly to support this as a cricketer & Muslim. I am following the rehab plan my Doctor gave 100%. My Allah recommends to help people in need with all the power I have. C u @HomeOfCricket on 31st and let’s keep #HopeNotOut”.

Earlier, Afridi said that he might not be able to be part of the match due to his knee injury. “Went to see my doctor in Dubai, the knee hasn’t recovered fully yet. I’ll need another 3-4 week. Hoping to regain full fitness after that, keep praying for me,” he wrote on his Twitter account on May 17.
