HYDERABAD: Sindh police resolved the mystery behind the murder of a recently married woman, whose skull was recovered from Pinyari Canal, when a couple, who confessed to have killed her, was arrested, reported a local English newspaper.

Hyderabad SSP Pir Mohammad Shah along with ASP Zahida Parveen and CIA DSP Mohammad Aslam Langha told in a press conference that victim was Hind Lodhi, 26, wife of Adnan Lodhi. “Adnan’s elder brother-in-law Mansab, strangled Hina to death after she resisted his criminal assault bid on her on May 12,” the police said, adding that Mansab’s wife, Rukhsana, the elder sister of Adnan, facilitated the abortive criminal assault by coordinating with her husband in committing the crime.

DSP Langha further told media that after the murder, Mansab chopped the body into eight pieces, packed them in three gunny bags and threw them at different places in the city with help of his wife.

A missing report of Hina was lodged at the Baldia police station on May 13 by her in-laws.
