It was recently confirmed by Disney chief Bob Iger that the Avengers franchise would continue after the ‘significant conclusion’ of 2019’s Avengers 4, suggesting that Marvel could potentially mine from over 7000 unexplored characters.

According to Avengers Infinity War Producer, Kevin Feige one of those characters is Kamala Khan also known as ‘Ms Marvel.’

He further confirmed that a Ms Marvel movie is in the works, explaining that she is “another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel.”

“We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world,” he added.

In the comic books, Ms Marvel’s alter-ego is Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager from New Jersey.

Furthermore, ever since the news of Ms Marvel started making its round in the media, fans couldn’t help but wonder who would star as the character in the movie. Having said that, several fans have already have suggested that Quantico actor Priyanka Chopra should star as the character.

However, Marvel has not announced any firm plans on the aforementioned.

The actress already voices the character in the mobile video game Marvel: Avengers Academy.

Several fans voiced their support for Chopra considering her South Asian heritage could be important for Marvel – but some said the role should go to a Pakistani-American rather than Indian.

Avengers: Infinity War was the 19th film in the Marvel Universe. It has had a record-breaking performance, topping charts across the globe with a $200 million debut in China.
