GUJRANWALA: Four members of a global gang were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Gujranwala region who were involved in looting people after marriage, a local media house reported.

It had been reported that two women, Misbah Rani and Asma, nikkah lawyer Hafiz Khalid and marriage witness Zulfiqar Ali were arrested during raids in Sialkot.

The ACE official told local media that action was taken against the group after a local filed a complaint. Moreover, other members of the group were arrested some days ago in Islamabad.

During initial Interrogation, the detained confessed to using social media to trap internationally-based Pakistanis and rich men from other countries. The woman would trick them into getting married, then, aided by her accomplices, would drug and loot the men.

Not only that, the woman confessed to looting four men, each after marriage. The group would also take explicit and incriminating photos and videos which would late be used to blackmail the men. In the case of non-compliance, the group would threaten to upload the photos and videos on social media.

Last week, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a man for harassing and blackmailing a woman in Lahore.
