Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma recently celebrated her 30th birthday on May 1. She had a little midnight birthday with husband Virat Kohli and announced her new animal shelter amidst wishes from close friends and family. However, it seems that the actor missed a wish by veteran Amitabh Bachchan, which led him to ask her about this on Twitter.
In a post, Bachchan wrote, “Anushka .. this is Amitabh Bachchan…wished you on May 1st via sms…no response…checked they said you changed number .. sent greetings again .. love and wishes .. you looked radiant at the IPL game last night.”

To this, Anushka promptly replied, “Thank you so much Sir, for remembering my birthday and sending your kind wishes! (Responding to your sms as I tweet this).”

This isn’t the first time Amitabh has been ‘ignored’ by his Bollywood colleagues on their birthdays.
In July 2017, the actor in a reply to Sonam Kapoor’s thankyou tweet to Suniel Shetty wrote, “And what about ME .. this is Amitabh Bachchan, my dear…I sent you an SMS on your birthday and you never replied…aaarrrgghh!!”

To this, a shocked Sonam replied, “Oh my God sir!! I didn’t get it!! I always reply!! Thank you so much! I got Abhishek’s message. I’m so so sorry,” she wrote adding, “Thank you so so much!! Tons and tons of love.”
Similarly, in July, Amitabh called out Ranveer Singh for not replying to his birthday message. “Hey .. but what about my intention .. sent you SMS greetings for your birthday .. did not get a reply .. did you see it .. !??” he wrote, and Ranveer shot back, “Except that I TOTALLY replied! I just cross-checked it too! You were, in fact, one of the first to even wish!”
Ranveer even added, “And it’s the little things like these, that make you THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! I’m blessed that you even know I exist!”
