A husband killed his 35-year-old wife for allegedly having illicit relations with other men in Rachna Town, Shahdara Police Station precincts on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Farzana. Police said that the victim was the second wife of her husband Hanif who had bought her a house in Rachna Town where she was living nowadays.
Police quoting local residents said that a few strangers often visited her house and both husband and wife used to quarrel over this issue for the past several months. On Tuesday, Farzana and Hanif again had a scuffle during which Hanif got furious and shot his wife dead. Police removed the body to the city morgue while Hanif managed to flee.
Police registered a murder case and have started searching for the accused.
