Senegalese study tour wrapped up at BISP

ISLAMABAD: On the last day of a three-day study visit of a 14-member Senegalese delegation to Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), a wrap-up session was concluded here in Islamabad.

BISP Chairperson Marvi Memon along with Secretary Omar Hamid Khan co-hosted the wrap-up session.

The Senegalese delegation, while sharing their experience during the three-day long study visit expressed their warm gratitude to the BISP leadership. They expressed their study tour as a worth-learning about the experience.
They specially mentioned their appreciating of the BISP Graduation Model, Biometric Verification System, IT applications and database management system.

Furthermore, the Senegalese thanked the hosts for their warm hospitability and tasty food.

Memon extended an invitation to the minister of Senegal to visit Pakistan again soon. Moreover, she shared documentation of the latest NSER 3.0 Model with them so they may adopt productive features from it and also expressed concern to share IT based applications between the two countries.

The BISP secretary appreciated the approach of strategic alignment of the Senegalese Protection Model with other programmes in Senegal.

He shared his views about the untapped private sector in both countries to sustain this model and went to term the study tour as ‘joint-learning process’ for both sides which he hoped to continue sharing in the future.
