ATTOCK: Punjab Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan Tuesday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had taken revolutionary steps to provide quality healthcare services to the people.
“Besides endowing best treatment facilities, free of cost medicines are being provided to the patients visiting district headquarters (DHQ) and tehsil headquarters (THQ) hospitals,” he said.
Speaking during his visit to the Asfandyar Hospital Attock, the secretary also said that the policy regarding local purchase of medicines for outdoor patients would soon be clarified to further facilitate the patients.
“Anti-rabies vaccine and anti-snake bite vaccine are available in all hospitals and steps are being taken to further improve the healthcare facilities,” he said.
Health CEO Malik Ibadat Khan, Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Khalid Mehmood, Asst MS Dr Ijaz, Dr Muhammad Ali, Dr Riaz, Dr Faheem and Dr Noshaba were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Ali Jan Khan also visited different sections of the hospital.
