Facing the monster of corruption

I am writing this letter at a time when corruption, a monster that is on rampage, is widespread in Pakistan as well as other parts of the world.

Some believe that the solution is to get honest and competent people. However, it is not a problem with individuals only as it is the system that produces these individuals and allows them to flourish.

As a result, the rest of the society also resorts to corruption in order to get by, paying bribes or using ‘sifarish’. It is not only the police where it is rampant but also in every other department. It is used to get a good job, to buy off a judge or any other department official for that matter.

I believe that the only solution for this problem is that we not only remove corrupt individuals but also the corrupt system and replace with a new system and new leadership. The reduction of corruption will also result in more funds being available to the state, enabling adequate salaries to be paid to state officials to ensure they are not tempted by necessity. It is high time to change the system as well as the leadership only for our own benefit.

  1. here you must also discuss about the replacement of the old system with d new one as we have no guarantee dat d upcoming party is reliable n trustworthy..__

    • The Khaleefah cannot be a member of a political party as one of the conditions is that he has to be free and that can only be if he is head of that Party. The only way to make sure that people in power are not corrupt is for people to look at the system that the Islamic political party is calling for and scrutinize so that it is water tight.
