Opposition walked out from Senate against not providing security to journalists

The opposition staged a walkout from Senate against non provision of security to the media men ,who prepared the footage of Kharotabad and Karachi incidents as well as torture on journalists at Quetta.
Senator Azam Swati from JUI(F) said on point of order that Chairman Senate gave a ruling regarding providing security to the journalist who covered the killing of innocent people by the rangers in Khorotabad and Karachi, on which Interior Minister Rehman Malik also made pledge but the ruling was not acted upon yet.
Leader of the opposition in Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri has said that after Abbotabad episode, serial of striking incidents are being taken place regularly and under these circumstances some elements are taking about the revamping Pak-US relations.
“Journalists are being killed continuously, doctors have been subjected to torture. Dead bodies are coming across from Baluchistan as a routine matter. In Karachi target killing is on the pinnacle concentration as when two political parties differ each other, the sequence of target killings gets momentum there.
He announced to walkout from the house as the security could not be provided to journalists that covered Khorotabad and Karachi incidents, on which the opposition members left the floor of the upper house of the parliament.
