LAHORE: Light rain in different parts of the country including Quetta, Zohb, Jhang, Faisalabad, Jaranwala, Phoolnagar and Lahore in the wee hours of Monday turned the weather pleasant and brought the mercury down and provided a much-needed relief to the citizen from hot weather.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, a westerly wave is affecting western parts of the country and likely to persist over central & upper parts of the country till Friday.
Met Office has predicted more rain at scattered places in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Sargodha divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Zhob and Lahore divisions during the next 24 hours.
In Karachi, the weather will remain hot and dry. As per the meteorological department, minimum temperature was recorded at 27°C on Monday in the city, while maximum temperature would go as high as 37°C.
