Shahid Afridi urged on late Saturday that Kashmiris should be asked which country they wish to be with, adding that maybe they want their own country.
In a recent interview with Indian media, the star all-rounder said, “Firstly, we should ask Kashmiris which country they wish to go to. Maybe they don’t want to go with any country and want to make their own country.”
He shed light on his tweet regarding the oppression in Indian held Kashmiri, saying that innocent people were dying for no reason. Afridi condemned global terrorism and said there was room for improvement in countering the menace.

“I don’t support terrorists and you should remember I run a humanitarian foundation in Pakistan where I help affected areas in which there are Hindus and Sikhs as well.”
In a tweet on Friday, the former skipper said, “Whether 6 years old Zainab of Kasur or 8 years old Asifa of Jammu, these barbaric inhumane acts should be condemned and those behind should be punished to the maximum.”
Condemning barbaric inhuman acts of rape and murder of minor girls Zainab of Kasur and Asifa Bano of occupied Kashmir, Afridi demanded exemplary punishment for the culprits.
Using hashtag #JusticeforAsifa, Afridi went on to say “Let these cases be a lesson for the culprits where no daughter will ever be subjected to this heinous act again.”
