ISLAMABAD: Pakistani actress Aisha Rao Khan, a couple of weeks earlier announced that she has decided to leave the showbiz industry. This, of course, sparked all sort of rumours, but the one which lead them all was that she will be soon tying the knot. Lo and behold, a couple of days later, the actress took to social media to announce that she was indeed getting married.
Sharing a picture of herself with her fiance, Major Uqbah Hadeed, Khan wrote, “My fiancé and I are overwhelmed with all the love and prayers that have poured in thus far. I had made my announcement to leave my media career as I now prefer to stay away from the limelight. We got engaged last year and have known each other for several years before. We would request privacy from here on and expect everybody to respect our decision of keeping our wedding a small family affair. Please remember us and our families in your prayers!”
Just as we were recovering from Feroze Khan’s wedding saga, pictures of Aisha as a bride began to emerge on Instagram and it has been learned that Aisha’s mayun and mehndi events have already taken place. The mehndi was held Thursday night and Khan’s best friend, actor Hamza Ali Abbasi along with Gohar Rasheed were present at the festivities.
In fact, Abbasi and Rasheed held the dupatta above Aisha’s head as she entered the hall on her mehndi. The video is super cute and we have to admit that they are definitely friendship goals.
Needless to say, Aisha looked resplendent on her mehndi in a lime green, maroon and white lehnga choli. For her mayun, she opted for an all-yellow ensemble.
