Kharotabad tragedy, 6 were killed instead of 5: Surgeon reveals

The inquiry tribunal probing into Kharotabad incident on Monday recorded statement of police surgeon who conducted the postmortem of deceased foreigners by FC and police personnel on May 17.
Police surgeon, Dr. Baqir Shah told the tribunal that 5 bodies had been shifted to hospital on May 17 and after postmortem, he found all deceased persons were killed by shooting.
Dr. Baqir said that deceased pregnant lady identified as Oliga Sheri Da, sustained 11 injuries marks and recovered 6 shells of bullet from her body while a 7 month old baby was also killed inside her uterus due to firing. He told the tribunal that dead baby also sustained injury marks of bullets added that baby was also killed by the firing as a result it was murder of 6 people instead of 5.
Police surgeon said 21 shells of bullets were recovered from bodies of all deceased men and women.
The tribunal headed by Justice Hashim Karar of Baluchistan High Court has been investigation into Kharotabad incident where 5 Chechen origins were shot and killed by Frontier Corp and police personnel on May 17.
