At least two people sustained injuries in a bomb blast that took place on Gulistan Road here on Monday.
According to preliminary information provided by the police to APP, unknown men had planted an explosive device into a bicycle and parked it on Gulistan Road near a check post near police line in cantonment area.
Two passers-by received injuries when the explosive planted in the bicycle exploded, police said.
Soon after the incident, heavy contingent of Frontier Corps, police and other law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area.
The injured have been shifted to the civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment.
The bomb disposal squad has collected the pieces of the exploded bicycle. The blast also caused smashing of windowpanes of nearby buildings.
Further investigation is underway.

I am just a little curious that are these bomb disposal squads well equipped to tackle the IED's.
