ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers Ramesh Kumar Vankwani and Bilal Ahmed Virk on Friday decided to join Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI) with an anticipated announcement soon.
According to reports, the Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) chief-patron will visit PTI chief Imran Khan’s residence in Islamabad on Saturday to formally announce his inclusion in the PTI.
Vankwani was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of PML-N on a seat reserved for minorities in the general election 2013.
The lawmaker told the media that he has taken the decision “to serve the people of Thar and the rest of the country by joining hands with Imran Khan”, and added that he was “struggling [to bring] a real change in the lives of people”.
Dr Vankwani further said that he was “fed-up with the PML-N ‘quaid’ for his [anti-judiciary] stance and aggressive policies”, and commented that the ruling party had “illegally made Siddiqul Farooq the chairman of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB)”.
Moreover, media sources claimed Bilal Ahmed Virk will also join PTI. He will accompany Vankwani to meet the PTI chairman at his Bani Gala residence.
