Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis Amjad Ali Khan has been transferred and posted as the Federal Ombudsman Secretary. KB Rind, a grade 22 officer, has replaced him, Pakistan Today learnt on Sunday. Dr Farooq Sattar was reportedly unhappy with the ministry’s secretary. Relations between the two had reportedly gone tense when the case of Rs 4.6 million, payable to the OPF as two years’ rent, was referred to the Cabinet Division. Rind has earlier served as the Chief Secretary of Sindh and Balochistan.
