The Pakistan Navy and the Maritime Security Agency (MSA) has rescued 15 fishermen along with a fishing boat off Pasni. According to a statement issued by the MSA on Sunday, a Karachi-registered fishing boat, Waadi-e-Sindh, located off Pasni a day earlier had sent a distress call to the MSA headquarters requesting assistance due to engine failure. Due to heavy seas and engine failure, the boat became vulnerable and could have capsized, resulting in losses of lives. The MSA headquarters immediately contacted the Commander Pakistan Fleet headquarters, which deputed PNS Tariq for the rescue operation. The ship’s helicopter was immediately flown to locate the boat. Subsequently, Waadi-e-Sindh was taken undertow by PNS Tariq and brought to safety at the Pasni Anchorage.
