PESHAWAR: The administrative affairs of four key departments and chief minister’s (CM) secretariat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have been severely affected as they are currently functioning without administrative heads, reports a local English daily.
The elementary and secondary education, energy and power, establishment, anti-corruption establishment departments don’t have permanent secretaries and the CM secretariat doesn’t have the principal staff officer.
Administrative secretaries of other departments are currently looking after these departments but the ad hocism is affecting the working of all departments concerned, according to the publication. It is further stated that the education department has been functioning without a permanent secretary since last November when Shehzad Bangash was transferred and posted as the additional chief secretary of the planning and development department.
The commissioner of Peshawar is the administrative head of the entire Peshawar division having three districts including Peshawar, Charsadda and Nowshera.
