KARACHI: In-form Pakistan is set to clash West Indies in the first T20 match at National Stadium Sunday as the city of lights is ready to host much-awaited series.
Confident and focused green shirts are expected to dominate the whole series against a youthful Carribean team, which is missing its key players.
Pakistani captain Sarfraz Ahmed has stated that he has set his eyes on a clean sweep in the series in order to retain T20 top position in the ranking.
“Definitely we are aiming for the clean sweep but won’t be taking West Indies lightly. Their team is quite strong as their players have been playing a lot of T20 cricket,” he stated.
The match will start at 8 pm.
The tickets of the match have already been sold out as the cricket enthusiasts welcome the return of cricket to Karachi.
West Indies 13-member team, playing three-match T20 series in Pakistan, arrived in Karachi on Saturday night. According to media reports, the first group of players reached at 9:30 pm while the second group arrived at 12:15 am at Jinnah International Airport.

West Indies on late Thursday announced their 13-member squad for the three T20I matches against Pakistan in Karachi.
With Jason Mohammed as captain, prominent Windies players including Samuel Badree, Andre Fletcher, Marlon Samuels and Chadwick Walton will be touring Pakistan for three consecutive matches on April 1-3.
