LAHORE:  Pakistani Nobel laureate, women rights and education activist Malala Yousufzai arrived in Pakistan on a four-day visit late Wednesday night.

According to reports, Malala will be staying in Pakistan for four days. She will hold meetings with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, other government officials and important figures.

Returning home for the first time since 2012, Malala will be staying at a private hotel. She is accompanied by close family members and will also meet her extended family. It is yet to be confirmed whether she will visit Swat, her hometown.

A special programme titled “Meet The Malala” will be organised at the PM House. Reports also suggest that she will be provided high-level security.

Meanwhile, social media welcomed her with both supporting and opposing messages.

Actress Mahira Khan welcomed “baby girl” back home.

Former TV anchor Reham Khan sent her ‘love and prayers’ to dearest Malala on her return to home.

A cricket fan termed it second major ‘return’ to Pakistan after cricket.

One of the users welcomed her by posting Nobel winner’s famous quote “One Child, One Teacher, One Book and One Pen Can Change The World”

Pakistan welcomes “Gul Makai” to her home, one user wrote.

One of the users pointed out an important aspect writing: “HOW INTERESTING. Those abusing Malala Yousafzai for returning to Pakistan have abused her all these years for not returning to Pakistan. Bhai Chhahte Kiya Ho!!

One individual mentioned that Malala is not enemy of Pakistan and wrote:

MQM-P leader Syed Ali Raza Abidi also welcomed “Malala Yousafzai the brave and resilient daughter of Pakistan back to her country”.

And obviously, there were those, who do not like the Nobel Laureate and shared their views on Twitter.

One pointed out that she was given Nobel but they have nothing for Kashmir, Syria and Rohingyas who are being shot.

One raised the question, “What she has done for the country?”

Another wrote “Honestly, I couldn’t care less about Malala Yousafzai returning to the country. We have bigger problems to deal with.”

Another user again raised the question of security and asked: “Why she is being provided security at the expense of taxpayers money as she had done nothing special for Pakistan. Our scientists are given a zero protocol while a gamer like her is provided so. Shame on PMLN government.”

And one of the users had the something strong to say to the “haters of Malala” and wrote:
