Will serve masses ignoring trash talk: CM

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that he had no time to reply to trash talk of the opponents and made it clear that he intended to serve the masses till his last breath.

“Without giving a heed to opponents’ criticism, I shall not deviate from the mission of public service,” he added.

While talking to different delegations, the chief minister said public service was his core mission and added that the journey of development would be continued without regardless of any allegations.

“The pivot of our politics is the welfare of the masses and whatever is required to be done for national development, and public prosperity will be done. We have worked day and night with utmost honesty and sincerity and the results of our dedicated efforts have started to appear. In fact, our political opponents have already given in to the historic agenda and development performance of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N),” he said.

Shehbaz also said that the conscious people could fully recognise genuine political leadership and the PML-N had neither made any hollow claims nor raised empty slogans, but practically served the people with dedication and commitment.

“It is the collective responsibility of all of us to work for national development and welfare of the masses because the challenges and problems being faced by the country can only be countered with unity in the prevailing circumstances,” said the chief minister while adding it was the need of the hour that the youth understood modern technologies to ensure speedy development in the country.

“The Punjab government is following a comprehensive programme of developing health and education sectors so that people could be provided with the most modern facilities at their doorsteps,” said Shehbaz.

“Overcoming the energy crisis and defeating the menace of terrorism are historic achievements of the PML-N government,” said Chief Minister Shehbaz and added that the completion of energy projects would not only promote industries, but would also create new opportunities of employment and exports.
