Senators Hafiz Rasheed and Professor Ibrahim on Friday claimed in the Upper House of Parliament that mass graves of innocent people killed by the security forces had been discovered in the Mohmand Agency.
Speaking on a point of order, Senator Rasheed said that 35 tribesmen were killed a few days ago by “people in uniform” and were buried in the area. Narrating another incident, Senator Ibrahim said there were many more unmarked mass graves in the agency. “Hundreds of bodies have been found from unmarked mass graves,” he claimed.
The Senate chairman then sought details from both the senators on the matter and assured them that action would be taken against those responsible.
