Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi announced on Saturday that all overseas players of his franchise have agreed to visit Pakistan for the eliminators in Lahore and Karachi final.

Talking to Twitter, Afridi thanked the players for their support and recalled that his team had retained all the overseas cricketers in the Lahore final of PSL 2 last year as well.

Captain Darren Sammy, Liam Dawson, Chris Jordan, Tamim Iqbal and others are part of the Peshawar Zalmi squad.

He expressed confidence in his team and hoped that it would play the PSL 3 final in Karachi on March 25.

Earlier, Afridi tweeted, “The defending champions are into the playoffs for the third season in a row. We never lost hope and always believed in our abilities. This one is for our fans who stayed loyal in our tough times and we have delivered. Total team effort today.”

On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators face trouble in persuading their overseas players to come to Pakistan. The star performers Kevin Pietersen, Shane Watson and Ben Laughlin have refused to play the eliminator against Peshawar Zalmi in Lahore.

The side is only left with batsman Mahmudullah of Bangladesh, and the probable players Rilee Rossouw and Chris Green. The Quetta captain Sarfraz Ahmed had already pointed out they would arrange last-minute replacements if players refuse the offer.

Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will go head-to-head in Lahore to play the second eliminator on March 20.
