PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday recorded the statements of five officials of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in connection with a reference pertaining to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s use of KP government helicopter.

Documents submitted to NAB showed details about the helicopter purchased on November 22, 2007, and the names of people who have travelled in it. Statements from a civil aviation official and four administration officials were also recorded.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Administration Department have already submitted their reports to NAB.

FATA’s Law and Order Secretary Hassan Muhammad Yousafzai, who formerly served as secretary of administration, also provided his statement to NAB on Wednesday. Imran Khan had allegedly utilised the government-owned helicopter for personal travel during Yousafzai’s tenure as secretary administration.

A local media outlet reported on March 8 that detailed information regarding Imran Khan’s use of the helicopter was obtained by NAB’s KP wing from the relevant departments.
