Balochistan CM thanks Imran, Zardari
Quddus severely criticises Mahmood Achakzai and Hasil Bizenjo
CM appeals to the people of Balochistan to vote real representatives in next elections
We are grateful to Asif Ali Zardari, Imran Khan and all senators for election f Senate chairman. Those disappointed us whom we had expectations but people of Balochistan have to think about coming general elections.
Mahmood Achakzai speaks of democracy but why doesn’t he conduct intra-party elections. We advise him to conduct elections within his party so that the members of assembly from his party may not take part in the elections as independent candidates. We would struggle for securing our due rights under 18 Amendment.
These views were expressed by Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo while addressing a crowded press conference at the CM Secretariat after his return from Islamabad on Tuesday.
He was flanked by ministers Sarfraz Bugti, Ghulam Dastgir Badini, Asim Kurd Gallo, Political Secretary to Chief Minister Syed Aslam Shah.
The CM said that after success of our six candidates in senate elections we demanded of major parties to give us Senate chairmanship this time. We are thankful to PTI Chairman Imran Khan, PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari, senators from FATA and MQM leadership who supported us without any string.
He said we thank whole country particularly people of Balochistan over election of Sadiq Sanjrani as Senate chairman. He said we expected PMAP Chief Mahmood Achakzai and National Party leader Hasil Bizenjo would not only support us for Sadiq Sanjrani but would also lead our struggle. But we are sorry they not only refused to support us but also raised propaganda against us.
‘There is sense of deprivation among people of Balochistan and they were not allowed to move forward for several years. Previous governments made claims but did nothing for Balochistan. He said people were totally disappointed of nationalists who adopted dual policy National Party boycotted 2008 elections but Hasil Bizenjo sat in the assembly after his election.
Answering a question he said we appeal to people of Balochistan to vote real representatives in the elections so that they could talk of their rights.
Answering another question about CPEC, he said it was included in our priorities but release of funds by federal government for several projects of Balochistan was awaited. Replying another question, he said that we would file our objections about demarcations with Election Commission soon.
