ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Harvard University students on an eight-day trip to Pakistan called on Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi at the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday.
The trip, organised by Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Managing Director Adnan Afaq and Harvard University alumna Sobia Maqbool, was designed to provide the students with an alternative view of Pakistan not typically conveyed to the international community, a press release issued by the PM’s Media Office said.
Over 30 meetings and activities were arranged to showcase the diversity of Pakistani culture, politics, food, art and geography.
The students’ engagements with the many facets of Pakistan would help advance Pakistan’s narrative in the US upon their return.
In little more than a week, the students would explore country from Gilgit to Karachi.
The students were accepted from a very competitive applicant pool of Harvard community members eager to learn more about Pakistan.
