Sanjrani meets Imran, thanks him for support

ISLAMABAD: Newly-elected Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday at his Bani Gala residence.

During the meeting, Sanjrani thanked Imran for supporting Balochistan during elections of the Upper House. Imran congratulated Sanjrani on his victory and called it a historic moment of Pakistan and Balochistan politics. “PTI will end the discrimination against Balochs after coming to power,” Khan said.

Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, PTI leaders Asad Umar, Faisal Javed and Aun Chaudhary were also present during the meeting.

On Monday, Sadiq Sanjrani and Balochistan CM Bizenjo along with the delegation of Baloch politicians met Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto at Zardari House and thanked him for his support in the Senate elections.

Sanjrani,  an independent candidate supported by the joint opposition, won the chairmanship of the Upper House after getting 57 votes against 46 of Raja Zafarul Haq, the ruling party’s candidate.
