A man killed his 23-year-old son after he had slapped him during an argument on Thursday in the Shahdara Police Station precincts. According to details, victim Faisal Mushtaq was unemployed and did not listen to his father who had arguments with him on a daily basis for his lazy attitude. On Thursday, the father and son were having an argument again during which Faisal slapped his father. Losing control over his son’s action, the father took a knife and stabbed his son, which resulted in Faisal’s death.
A case has been registered against the father while the victim’s body was shifted to the morgue.
Separately, a newly-born baby was found dead around 100 yards from the Harbanspura Bridge near a sealing factory in the Harbanspura Police Station precincts. Passers-by spotted the body and informed police. According to details, the girl’s body was wrapped up in a white fabric sheet. Police registered a case under Section 329 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) for hiding the baby’s birth. The body was shifted to the morgue.
