LAHORE: The high command of Punjab police reportedly has succumbed to the pressure of some Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers and forming a body to revisit the new olive green uniform a year after it was introduced, reported a local English newspaper.

According to the sources, a 16-member committee has been formed under Additional Inspector General (IG) (Financial) Muhammad Tahir. It also includes Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) along with some superintendents of police.

Inspector General (IG) Punjab police, Captain (retired) Arif Nawaz told the committee that police officials had expressed “strong reservations” over the new uniform.
