LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities’ Affairs Khalil Tahir Sindhu on Monday said that after the Senate elections and the victory of the Pakistan Muslim League-N’s (PML-N) candidate in the Sargodha by-polls, it had been proved that the “PML-N was at the top of the graph.”
Speaking at a meeting with the members of the provincial assembly belonging to minority groups, the minister said that under the leadership Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab was on the path of rapid progress and its GDP was continuously moving upwards.
He also said that the Punjab CM in a bid to promote democracy, reached the Punjab Assembly to cast his vote even in bad health, while on the other hand, Imran Khan did not cast his vote due to “ego issues.”
“It is an example of non-democratic attitude,” he said and added that Shehbaz going to the Punjab Assembly proved that he was a true leader.
The minister said that it was due to Shehbaz Sharif that China, Turkey and other friend countries of Pakistan were investing in Punjab’s mega projects and there was no doubt that the economy had become much stronger in Shehbaz’s tenure.
