LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on March 9 would visit Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahab and address the public at 12 different points as part of the PTI’s recently launched membership campaign.

This was revealed by PTI central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan while addressing the party workers at the party secretariat on Monday. He said the PTI chief was starting his mass contact campaign from central Punjab and during his trip would also address the party workers at Bati Chowk, Sheikhupura Bypass, Feroze Wattoowaan, Bhikki, Manawala, Nankana Sahab, Shah Kot, Sangla Hill, Safdar Abad and Khanqaan Dogra.

He asked the party workers to ensure the maximum presence of the people at the occasions so that they can interact with the chairman.

“After this, Imran Khan will also be visiting Kasur, Gujrat, Gujranwala and Sialkot districts as ‘warm-up’ for the general elections,” he said.

Separately, Aleem strongly criticised the Punjab government for not having a proper cancer hospital in the province and said that 155,000 cancer patients in Punjab were helpless.

“The patients suffering at the hands of the government question if they can seek treatment from the orange line train or the metro bus,” he said and added that the bad governance of the Punjab government had paved way for the PTI as the people were now determined to bring change with the power of votes in the upcoming general elections.

PTI district leaders from Nankana Sahab, Sheikhupura, Gujrat and other districts present at the occasion assured maximum participation of the general public during the PTI chief’s tour during which he will also inspect the membership campaign in different parts of the province.
