NAB starts corruption probe against Ahad Cheema’s wife

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has also started corruption charges investigation against Saima Ahad Cheema, wife of former LDA DG Ahad Cheema, allegedly involved in corruption case of development schemes of Punjab.
It was revealed that Saima Ahad Cheema was appointed as Okara deputy commissioner against the rules and regulations. She belonged to Income Tax group and was not enough competent to be appointed at any post of district management, however she was appointed as Punjab Finance additional secretary.
Reports say that Ahad Cheema during the investigation has not only offered his cooperation to NAB but also provided list of ten more officials who have been involved in corruption with him in these development schemes. However NAB officials have decided not to apprehend these officials immediately. The NAB has started investigation against the officials whose names were included in the list provided by Ahad Cheema to NAB and attempts are being made to acquire the more record of concerned development projects.
