38-year-old ‘young’ Shahid Afridi celebrates birthday today

Former Pakistani hard-hitting batsman and leg-spinner Shahid Afridi is celebrating his 38th birthday on Thursday.

Afridi is currently part of Karachi Kings team in the ongoing third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). In last two seasons of PSL, he was the president and player of Peshawar Zalmi.

Afridi has played 27 Test matches, 398 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 98 T20 matches. He made his ODI debut in October 1996, Test debut in October 1998 and T20 debut in August 2006.

He has taken 48 Test, 392 ODI,  and 97 T20 wickets.

Afridi became famous due to his hard-hitting batting especially after he broke the record of fastest ODI century after reaching his hundred in just 37 balls.

Afridi is also a philanthropist and owner of Shahid Afridi Foundation.

Cricket followers and fans wished ‘Boom Boom Lala’ on social media.

Afridi thanked his fans and followers for wishes stating that it is another year to look back and learn.
