LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) had excellent professional capabilities and it defended the airspace of the motherland with courage.
He stated this while speaking to Pakistan Air Force Air Officer Commanding, Air Vice Marshal Aamir Masood, who called on him here.
“We are proud of the Pakistan Air Force and it is considered to be one of the best air forces in the world,” said Shehbaz while paying tribute to the brave soldiers of the PAF.
He also praised the services of Aamir Masood.
‘JOURNEY OF DEVELOPMENT, PROSPERITY SHOULD NOT BE DERAILED’
Earlier, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique called on Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
Matters of mutual interest and national and political issues were discussed in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz said the current situation in the country requires tolerance and patience, and the journey of development and prosperity should not be derailed.
Khawaja Saad Rafique said the Punjab chief minister had set a new record of public service and won the hearts of the people.
Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique was also present on the occasion.
MUSHAHID HUSSAIN CALLS ON SHEHBAZ SHARIF
Mushahid Hussain Syed called on CM Shehbaz and discussed the current political situation and matters of mutual interest.
CM Shehbaz during the meeting said the PML-N wanted the country to secure a prominent place in the comity of nations and the journey of development and progress would continue at a fast pace.
Mushahid Hussain said the PML-N-led government had the vision to put the country on the road to progress and prosperity.
CM CONDEMNS UNPROVOKED INDIAN FIRING AT NAKYAL SECTOR
Punjab CM Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday strongly condemned the unprovoked firing by Indian forces in the Nakyal sector of the Line of Control (LoC).
He expressed grief and sorrow over the death of a civilian in the firing and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
He said the targeting of civilian population by Indian forces was highly condemnable and the Pakistani forces had full capability to give a befitting response to the Indian aggression.
The chief minister also said that India was openly violating basic human rights, and prayed for the early recovery of those who were injured as a result of the firing.
